The dips come in four varieties: Mighty Beetroot Borani, Smashed Pea Guacamole, Superstar Salsa and Tasty Tomato and Bean Houmous and are suitable for vegan consumers.
Chef and co-founder Scott Davis designed the range with health-conscious consumers in mind and it contains no added sugar or artificial ingredients. Do Goodly hoped to boost the health credentials of the dips by focusing on ingredients high in fibre and protein.
Debut range
Managing director Richard Abbey said: “Scott and I aim to create a range of food that looks and tastes wonderful and is good for you. We’re delighted with our debut range of dips, which can be enjoyed in countless ways – not only as dips but also in recipes; we have a recipe book coming soon.”
Do Goodly Dips is also supporting Mind, with 10% of its sales going towards the mental health charity.
“We’re also proud to be supporting Mind, especially during lockdown when so many people are experiencing pressures such as loneliness, worry and financial uncertainty,” Abbey added. “We aim to expand our range over the coming year, introducing more fresh, original and healthy products designed by Scott.”
Food sector experience
The company, which is based in Carmarthenshire, Wales, is run by Abbey, who has a background in sales working for well-known food companies, and Davis.
The pair came up with the idea for Do Goodly Dips after spotting a gap in the market for purely plant-based, healthy and creative dips. They have declared plans to expand the range of dips over the coming months, selling both via their online shop and through supermarkets and independent food stores.
Meanwhile, Nestlé has announced the launch of KitKat V, the much-anticipated vegan version of its original KitKat chocolate wafer snack bar, later this year.
