The presence of nuts in food has sparked recalls over the past week

There has been a spate of recalls by food firms sparked by the presence of nuts in a range of products.

Peanuts spark Lotte Pepero Snowy Almonds recall

Unisnacks Europe Limited is recalling its Lotte Pepero Snowy Almonds 32g due to a peanut allergen, which is not mentioned on the label.

The affected products have a best before of between 01 May 2023 and 02 May 2023.

The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers. 

Customers are being advised not to eat the product instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. 

Asda cheesecake recall made due to walnuts

Asda is taking the precautionary step of recalling Asda Plant Based Lemon Cheesecake because it may contain traces of walnuts and hazelnuts (nuts), which are not mentioned on the label. 

This means the product, which is produced by Emmi Desserts is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to walnuts and/or hazelnuts (nuts).

The affected products are Asda Plant Based Lemon Cheesecake in a pack size of 2 x 100g. 

Customers who have bought the product who may have an allergy to walnuts or hazelnuts should not eat the product and should return to the store it was purchased. 

 

Galberts Plant Based Lemon Cheesecake recalled

Galberts is also a lemon cheesecake product because of the presence of nuts. IT IS recalling Galberts Plant Based Lemon Cheesecake 2 x 100 g because it contains walnuts (nuts), which are not mentioned on the label. All date codes on the products aer affected. 

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to walnuts (nuts).

Anyone who has bought the product and has an allergy to walnuts (nuts) is advised not to not eat it and  return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
