Butternut Box, a fresh dog food manufacturer, produces its food from a 150,000 sq ft new manufacturing site in North Nottinghamshire.
As a direct-to-consumer subscription business it also fulfils customer orders from the same facility.
Its product is based on high quality ‘human grade’ ingredients. Over the last twelve months, it has increased its core meal range from six to ten introducing vegetarian and plant-based meals. The company has launched in three European countries, Ireland, Holland and Belgium with all core meals manufactured in the UK.

It has built and designed its factory with the future in mind and has switched to 100% renewable electricity and zero waste to landfill.
WHM Pet Group
WHM Pet Group is a wild bird, indoor bird, pigeon and small animal pet food manufacturer based in Driby, Lincolnshire. All food that is distributed and sold is manufactured at the Driby manufacturing site.
The company goes through extensive quality checks to make sure all their products are of the highest standard. The company recently invested in label applicators and new software to reduce human error when creating labels.
It spent six months in 2021 developing its own new eco-friendly wild bird food packaging, which was rolled out into stores in January 2022. The new bag composition is made from 100% post-industrial recycled material, which is also fully recyclable after use.
WHM Pet Group has invested in its manufacturing site in Driby, which has produced end of line robotics, automation and high-speed packaging machines.
