Butcher’s Shop of the Year finalists unveiled
The finalists have been announced on the final day of National Butchers’ Week 2023 which has celebrated UK butchers and highlight the great work that sets them apart from the competition.
The event, which is hosted on the Meat Trades Journal Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds, provides butchers with the perfect opportunity to engage with existing customers and win over new ones.
This year’s National Butchers’ Week is supported by Angel Refrigeration, Atlantic Service Company, Henry Winning & Co, Middleton Foods, and Tican Chilled.
“It’s been a pleasure to help organise National Butcher’s Week this year and an absolute honour to be part of the judging process for Butcher’s Shop," Bethan Grylls, editor of Food Manufacture and one of the judges of Meat Trade Journal's Butcher's Shop awards.
“These awards look to shine a light on the best shops in independent retail butchery and for those that made the shortlist, you should be very proud – it was really fierce competition!
“The rest of the Meat Trades Journal team and I are all looking forward to the awards ceremony on Monday 22 May in Birmingham, which will be a great opportunity to network and catch up with old friends. And, of course, you won’t want to miss the big reveal of who will take home this year’s trophy.”
