The new partnership with Newsan Food will not only see Seafood Souq as sole distributor of the Argentina seafood provider’s products in the GCC region, but the food company has also pledged to prioritise Seafood Souq in expanding its reach into other international markets.
This is the first time a company has been granted this kind of commercial privilege by Newsan.
Newsan Food is a global leader in seafood, with a presence in 70 countries, operating under four brands - Newsan Food, Tradarsa, Valastro, Nietos de Antonio Baldino, and Pesantar. It boasts an infrastructure of 40 fishing vessels, 16 processing plants, and three expansive cold storage facilities; with an annual revenue of more than $1bn.
While Seafood Souq provides integrated digital ecosystem allows the seafood industry to trace, trade and finance seafood product. Last year it was recognised as a Future 100 company.
Its products include, among other things, Argentinian shrimps, Hake, Patagonian Toothfish, Squid (multiple varieties), Chilean King Crab and Snow Crab, Chilean Swordfish, and Andean Salmon Trout. It is also actively engaged in mussel farming, rainbow trout farming, and other sustainable aquaculture practices.
