Hans Bakker has been named as the new regional general manager for Europe, with the previous occupant of that role Dave Dusangh stepping up to the position of regional president for North America.
With more than 20 years of experience at Mars, Bakker has served as vice president of global transformation for Mars Food & Nutrition since 2021, a role that saw him work to improve growth and productivity across 30 countries.
Dusangh has also worked at Mars for an extended period, first arriving at the multinational in 2021.
Both are taking up their new roles with immediate effective and will report to the division’s global president Shaid Shah.
Mars Food & Nutrition, which is a part of Mars Inc alongside the Petcare and Snacking segments, possesses a portfolio of brands including Ben's Original and Dolmio.

Meanwhile, Dusangh said that he was honoured to be given the opportunity to lead the division’s North American region.

"My focus will be on strengthening our position as a leader in the category and continuing to deliver delicious, convenient, and nutritious meals to meet the evolving needs of today’s consumers."

In other news, representatives from Unite the Union have taken part in protests outside the offices of the biggest shareholders in Bakkavor as strike action continues at one of its UK production plants.
