Treasury Wine Estates introduces ‘Belorante’
Australian producer Treasury Wine Estates has launched a “stylish” new wine brand for the UK grocery market called Belorante.
Made with Italian grapes, Belorante is aiming to tap into the strong demand for wines of Italy among consumers in the UK.
The range includes two whites, the Grillo Italia and Pecorino, and two reds, the Montepulciano D’Abruzzo and Italia Primitivo.
Selected wines are available now in Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons, retailing between £9 and £10.
“Inspired by the effortless style, attitude and vivaciousness of the Italian way, Belorante is all about bringing colour to your table and flavour to your glass, Italian style,” said Amy Fisher, senior brand manager at Belorante.
Fisher explained that wine does not have to be complicated, with Belorante design to be a part of fun and joyous occasions.
“Belorante is a bold, modern reinvention of Italian wine, bringing colour, freshness and modernity into the Italian wine aisle,” she added.
Baileys expands confectionery range
Baileys Chocolates has added to two new nutty products to its range ahead of the festive season.
The ‘Baileys Caramelised Nut Mix’ and ‘Baileys Chocolate Peanut & Cashews’ were created in response to the growing interest among consumers in small and “indulgent treats”.
The caramelised nut mix is a blend of roasted almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts and cashews, coated in a caramel glaze, while the chocolate peanut and cashews combines roasted peanuts and cashews in milk chocolate.
Available now in Tesco, both varieties feature a hint of Baileys and retail at £3 per pack.
“These new nut mixes allow us to offer consumers more ways to enjoy the much-loved flavour of Baileys Chocolates whilst exploring new treat occasions for the brand,” said Alison Robson, marketing manager for Baileys Chocolates.
“In anticipation of Christmas, we are excited to provide our customers with more ways to share Baileys Chocolate treats amongst their friends and family.”

Synergy launches rum flavour range
Synergy Flavours has unveiled a new range of rum flavours suitable for both alcoholic and low and no alcohol products.
The range consists of three rum profiles – white, dark, and spiced – and three cocktail flavours, strawberry daiquiri, mojito and piña colada.
Each one can be used to boost the taste and delivery of rum flavours in alcoholic beverages and to replicate the taste of rum in alcohol alternatives, and has been developed in line with the growing demand for an authentic rum taste.
The new launch adds to the firm’s growing portfolio of flavours designed for whisky, gin, and tequila blends.
“The growth in demand for non-alcoholic spirits clearly shows that consumer tastes are evolving,” said Tom Cleghorn, European category development manager at Synergy Flavours.
“Rum is a great addition to our spirit flavour range, given its popularity and flexibility for use in a wide array of cocktails. The new flavours will support manufacturers from both a cost optimisation perspective and also from an innovation perspective, as consumers seek out new products and formats, but don’t want to compromise on taste.”
Devagiri enters the UK
Sri Lankan tea producer Devagiri has launched into the UK market.
Founded in 1947 by the grandfather of current owner Roshana Gammampila, the Devagiri estate was acquired by Gammampila and her partner Mike Bailey in 2022 after they discovered that its future was at threat.
The pair raised investment and left their jobs in London to run the business full-time, and have since worked to introduce a transparent and traceable approach aimed at shortening the supply chain and supporting tea-producing communities.
The brand’s range of teas includes blends such as vanilla, cinnamon, cardamom chai, Earl Grey and breakfast tea, available in both loose leaf and tea bag varieties.
Devagiri tea can be ordered to the UK online from £3.55 for 20 teabags, while it also stocked by JKS Restaurants, Oakman Inns, Carslake Tea, Tea Traders and UK Loose Leaf.
“At Devagiri, we’re not just selling tea; we’re sharing a story of sustainability and social responsibility,” said Bailey.
“Visitors to our estate can witness first-hand the journey from leaf to cup, an experience unique to Devagiri.”
