TK Maxx owner TJX Europe is recalling several Turkish delight products because they contain an undeclared allergen.

The fact that the varieties of ‘Sultans Turkish Delights’ contain milk is not mentioned on the label, which means that the products pose a possible health risk to anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

The Sultans branded SKUs involved in the recall include 250g packs of Chocolate Covered Lemon Turkish Delight, Chocolate Covered Strawberry Turkish Delight and Chocolate Covered Pistachio Turkish Delight, and 225g packs of Sultans Chocolate Covered Pistachio Turkish Delight.

The SKUs feature product codes of 760240, 760241, 760242 and 760246 respectively, but share a best before date of 25 September 2026.

TJX Europe has issued point of sale notices that will be displayed in all retail stores that sell these products.

The notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and urge anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk to avoid consuming the contents and return the pack to any TK Maxx or Homesense store for a refund or a replacement.

The notice has also asked consumers to spread the news about the recall by telling their family and friends.

The products were on sale during November and December 2024 but have since been withdrawn from shelves.

Sultan Turkish Delights is based in Belfast and supplies a wide range of Turkish delight products.
