It’s a well-known among industry that globally 25-30% of food produced is lost or wasted, while it’s estimated to contribute 8-10% of human-made greenhouse gas emissions. If food waste were a country, it would be the world’s third largest emitter. As such, now is the time to start implementing novel ways of reducing food waste.
