All Things Butter lands £2.2m investment to expand range and reach
The seed funding round was led by private equity firm Access Industries and further supported by Active Partners, a consumer-focused investment firm behind F&B brands such as LEON, Rapha and Honest Burgers. The raise also enjoyed continued support from Hollywood producers Josey McNamara and Thomas Ackerley.
All Things Butter also raised more than £530,000 in September 2023 during a pre-seed funding raise which came prior to its launch in November.
Co-founded by chef Thomas Straker and Toby Hopkinson, the brand has earned listings in Sainsbury’s, Asda, Ocado, Planet Organic, The Modern Milkman, GoPuff and Zapp over the past six months.
Looking ahead, All Things Butter plans to utilise the funds to roll out its products in more UK retailers, establish an international supply chain and bulk out its product range. The brand’s existing portfolio consists of salted, unsalted, garlic and herb and chilli butter varieties.
To date, All Things Butter has sold nearly 250,000 blocks of butter, all of which are made on Brue Valley Farm where the same family has been churning butter for generations.
‘Raise allows us to accelerate our journey’
Reflecting on the raise, Hopkinson said that the brand was delighted to have secured an investment that would help fund its future growth.
“At only six months since launch, we are incredibly grateful for the commitment from our new and existing investors which will allow us to accelerate our journey even further,” added Hopkinson
“We have a clear mission to bring heritage butter to modern foodies, showcasing that great butter can elevate everyday eating and even hold nutritional value. We have an exciting year ahead for All Things Butter, so watch this space!”
