Quality assurance manager: Charlie Bigham’s

Premium ready meals maker Charlie Bigham’s is on the u t for a quality assurance manager to join the team at its Wells, Somerset production facility.

Charlie Bigham’s is offering a permanent positive with a competitive salary.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and coordinating the manufacturer’s quality assurance activities, with responsibility for the safety of Charlie Bigham’s products and their compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

You will also be responsible for identifying areas for improvement, implementing best practices, and ensuring that our operations adhere to standards and internal guidelines.

Other tasks include raising and maintaining team members’ awareness on food safety and quality and developing and maintaining a suitable training program to raise awareness and drive improvements in GMP & Quality.

Candidates will need to have a food science or technology related qualification and be trained to HACCP level 3. They are also required to have excellent knowledge and practical understanding of BRCGS standard, as well as be internal audit or lead auditor trained.

Product development manager: Euro Foods UK

Euro Foods UK is looking to hire a product development manager to lead on-going development activity for the business from its Cwmbran, South Wales site, including new product & process development, generation of product specs and effective communication with key stakeholders.

The successful applicant can expect a salary of between £35,000-£40,000, dependent on experience, on a permanent contract.

You will be expected to propose, develop, and design the innovation calendar of the company, together with Commercial, Marketing and Senior Leadership Team. You will also  be in charge of all decisions related to the recipes and new product development and managing product life cycle from concept through to launch.

Candidates will need to hold a degree (desirable in food tech/science) and have knowledge in food technology, food manufacturing and an understanding of meat, fish, poultry and halal products.

You will also need four-years’ experience in food NPD, three-years' experience in the food industry and two-years’ experience in in packaging and legal labelling. Candidates that have three-years’ experience in product management are also desirable.

Food safety manager: The Weetabix Company

Time is running out to apply for the role of Food Safety Manager at the Weetabix Company.

If successful, you will manage and lead all aspects related to food safety across the manufacturer’s product lines and facilities. This includes optimizing food safety systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, internal policies, and customer standards.

Key responsibilities include: the development, implementation and maintenance of the food safety management system; conducting regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards; collaborating with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of food safety; providing training and support to staff regarding food safety practices and protocols; and maintaining documentation for food safety processes and procedures.

Successful candidates will need to be level 4 HACCP trained and proven experience in food safety management within the food manufacturing sector, be level 3 Food Safety trained and have a technical and quality background.

Quality auditor supervisor: Higgidy

The position of quality auditor supervisor is currently open at pie maker Higgidy’s Shoreham-by-Sea production site.

This is a permanent position with a competitive salary and is open to anyone with proficiency with using Microsoft office packages and a good standard of both verbal and written English.

If successful, you will be tasked with the management of quality auditors, as wella s the generation and maintenance of the QA planner and related schedules – for example swabbing and finished product micro.

 Other key tasks include the delivery of technical training to relevant parties, including CCP training sign off to production, and the purchasing, calibration and maintenance of technical equipment.

The desired candidate will have experience of working within a FMCG environment, ;evel 3 food safety and HACCP qualification and knowledge and experience of working with equipment, and proof of COSHH training.

Senior regulatory advisor: Ashbury

Ashbury is on the search for a senior regulatory advisor to join its team on a permanent basis. This is a home-based role with a competitive salary.

You will be part of a small regulatory team within Ashbury, working as an extension of its clients QA team. The Regulatory Team is made of both industry and regulatory professionals, with expertise across manufacturing, enforcement and retail. On a day-to-day basis you will report into a regulatory manager, who is responsible for delivery of services to our client.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing regulatory advice to Ashbury and its client, to ensure products are legally compliant, researching and horizon scanning for changes and developments that effect the regulatory landscape in which Ashbury and its clients operate and reviewing and advising changes to Ashbury clients’ policies.

Degree level educational qualifications in food science, food law, consumer law or other relevant qualification or experience are essential, as well as in-depth regulatory knowledge in food and/or product safety.

Candidates require a minimum of five years of experience of working in a regulatory role within industry or enforcement or in a related field.
