Disney puts the fun into frozen food
Kids' mealtimes will soon have a comic twist as the UK branch of Disney Consumer products has just launched a range of frozen food in the shape of its iconic character, Mickey Mouse.
The first wave will include Mickey Chicken Nuggets, Mickey Potato Shapes and Mickey-shaped pizzas. The food is formed in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head and ears and developed in line with Disney's nutritional guidelines, which control calories, fat, saturated fat, sodium and sugar, and eliminate trans fats. The range is also free from artificial flavours and colours and baked in 15 minutes.
Dan Dossa, director of Disney Consumer products UK said: "These frozen food products are important additions to our growing range of healthier food options, which we hope will make it easier for parents to get their kids to consume a more balanced diet."
Howard McEvoy, md of McEvoy Foods, added: "We are really pleased to be working with Disney, using our expertise in frozen foods to develop healthier products that kids love, while still retaining the great taste."
