Intersnack appoint new general manager at Haverhill site
Louise Mortlock, 36, has been appointed factory general manager at the site in Suffolk and will oversee developments in line with the Percy Dalton maker's three-year growth plans, according to the firm.
Intersnack described Mortlock as a “highly experienced production professional". The firm also claimed that she was “one of only a handful” of women holding factory management positions in the UK.
Exciting developments
She said: “I’m delighted to have joined Intersnack at such an exciting time, with the promise of expansion and some exciting developments in terms of facilities, people and products here at Haverhill. I’m looking forward to working closely with the team to help secure our position as the UK's No.1 nut supplier.”
Formerly owned by the Percy Dalton Nut Company, Haverhill is the UK's largest production site specialising in prepared nuts, nut snacks and ethnic mixes both for Intersnacks own brands and supermarket own-label.
Production has more than doubled since Intersnack acquired the business in 2009, the firm revealed.
Last month Intersnack announced the relaunch of its Penn State range and expects to follow this with a number of other product developments during 2012, including a new range of ethnic snacks which will be produced at Haverhill.
