Vion sells Debbie & Andrew’s sausage brand

Founded in 1852 by the Turner family in Stowmarket, Suffolk, WA Turner was acquired by ABP Food Group in 2007.
Supermarket own-label formats
WA Turner produces sausages and pies for several leading UK multiples in branded and supermarket own-label formats.
Meanwhile, earlier this week, Vion announced the sale of its Hall’s brand to Scottish food manufacturer Browns Food Group for also for an undisclosed sum.
On Wednesday (January 30) Tesco dropped ABP Food Group subsidiary Silvercrest Foods, after it was revealed the manufacturer sourced product from non-approved suppliers in Poland. Tesco said the “breach of trust” was responsible for the contamination of its value beef burgers with horse meat.
