Food Manufacture is looling for a talented, ambitious and determined multi-media journalist
Enjoy reading FoodManufacture.co.uk and our sister magazine Food Manufacture? Then why not help write our headlines?

We are looking for an ambitious, talented, multi-media journalist, hungry for that first big break into editorial management or the responsibility that goes with deputising on a big business-to-business title.

Could you write convincingly about the latest developments in the battle to curb childhood obesity, functional food trends or lean manufacturing? Could you hold a cabinet minister to account over the effectiveness of the government’s food policies in a video interview?

If the answer is yes, Food Manufacture would like to hear from you. We want to recruit a deputy editor to contribute news and features to our print title, multi-media news to FoodManfacture.co.uk, social media posts and to help to organise our busy face-to-face and events programme.

The successful candidate

The successful candidate will also be responsible for editing our quarterly supplement Food Ingredients, Health and Nutrition.

Knowledge of the food and drink manufacturing industry is less important than the ability to learn quickly, a passion to break top stories, attention to detail, strong organisational skills and a commitment to independent multi-media journalism, including video interviews, audio podcasts, social media posts and infographics.

We cover everything from high science to low politics. If it matters to food and drink manufacturers, you will find it reported by Food Manufacture brands.

The role, based in Crawley, West Sussex, carries a salary that reflects the responsibilities of this challenging yet highly rewarding role.
