Campden BRI makes appointment ahead of new EU label rules
Ruffell will be responsible for helping Campden BRI members and clients comply with ongoing legislation changes.
Campden BRI has made a number of new appointments to deal with the FIR, including Steve Spice as head of regulatory affairs.
Ruffell will bring almost 15 years’ experience to the role, gained at the Food and Drink Federation and the Joint Health Claims Initiative.
Invaluable contribution
Her expertise in nutrition legislation and policy will be an invaluable contribution to the team as it prepares for the “biggest change in labelling legislation” for a generation, Campden BRI claimed.
Spice said: “Well known within the food industry and with external stakeholders, she brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge, in particular her extensive expertise in the field of nutrition and health claims.”
Last month, Spice warned of colossal costs of complying with the new rules.
