Food Manufacture Excellence Awards
Relive the Food Manufacture Excellence Awards 2024
This year’s awards saw the best in the food and drink manufacturing industry descend on the London Hilton Bankside hotel to celebrate the achievements of the sector with an evening of fine dining, entertainment and dance.
In this video, we talk with some of the big winners from this year’s event to find out what winning an award (or awards) meant to them and their teams and what we expect from their businesses in the future.
Triple award winner
Commenting on her company’s triple award win, Arla vice president of UK production Fran Ball said: “I’m just incredibly proud of everyone in Arla. I think every year we set ourselves ambitious targets and I think this year we felt it was important to recognise that and get some external recognition.
“We work hard, everyone works hard, and we want to really step out and showcase all of the work that we did this year and think we've been very successful in doing that at these awards.”
Speaking with some of this year’s winners revealed the level of shock and surprise they had when they were called up to the stage to accept their awards. However, one winner was quietly confident she would be taking to the stage for recognition of her efforts.
Future talent
When asked if she had any idea she’d be winning the Future Talent Award, Lincoln & York’s Mollie Harvey said: “I’d like to think so, because I think I showed my personality enough during my interview, but I was up against some big names!”
