Free energy webinar – less than a week to go
The webinar – Energy savings opportunity scheme: switching on to savings – will explain the implications of new EU legislation and uncover the scope for all food and drink manufacturers to make savings.
From December 2015, all firms with 250 employees or more will be required to carry out mandatory energy savings assessments. While realising the savings identified by the report will not be compulsory, large-scale food and drink manufacturers are predicted to save tens of thousands of pounds in cutting energy bills.
Cheese producer Wyke Farms
Significant savings are possible too for small and medium-sized food producers, according to our expert panel of speakers from industry and government. Taking part in the webinar – sponsored by energy consultant JRP Solutions – will be the boss of leading independent cheese producer Wyke Farms and speakers from the Food and Drink Federation and the government’s Energy Efficiency Deployment Office. See the full list of speakers below.
Over recent months energy topics have appeared often on FoodManufacture.co.uk. Topics have included: a former government cabinet insider telling this website Britain should thank Russian president Vadimir Putin for focusing national attention on the need for a UK energy policy. We also reported on the Natinonal Grid tendering for more electricity supplies, ahead of what it described as “an uncertain winter,” sparked by fires at two power stations and technical probes at two nuclear power stations.
