EHL boosts blends by 20
The new blends will be grouped into six categories, which will include four marinades, six speciality blends, three texture coaters, five everyday seasonings, a complete burger mix and a complete sausage mix, says EHL.
Katherine Davis, EHL’s new product development manager, has been working on the ingredients.
Enhance flavours
“The products offer a wide range of applications and can enhance the flavour of ready meals, soups and sauces, curries, pie and pasty fillings and meat dishes,” Davis says.
The 20 new blends will be EHL’s largest ever product launch, Tasneem Backhouse, EHL’s sales and marketing director, adds.
By launching 20 new flavours, the company will be tapping into various emerging consumer trends, she adds. “We decided on these 20 new blends to tap into the growing popularity of cuisines from the Tex Mex, Asian, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Middle Eastern and African regions.”
Food trends
Food manufacturers would want to stay ahead of the food trends by creating end products that consumers will love and buy time and time again, Backhouse says.
EHL has always offered around 50 herb and spice blends, but the additional 20 blends will strengthen the company's position in the market place, she adds.
