Premium cake maker Ridiculously Rich by Alana, owned by The Apprentice 2017 winner Alana Spencer, is recruiting “an army of ambassadors” to sell its products at events across the country.

The ambassadors will sell Ridiculously Rich by Alana products at food fayres and events in designated regions. They will also receive 10% commission from any sales made, Spencer said.

“With the success of The Apprentice, and with Lord Sugar as my new business partner, we are looking for brand ambassadors for Ridiculously Rich,” said Spencer. “We’re basically looking for ‘mini-me’s’ that can go across the country, selling our cakes just like I did.

‘Looking for mini-me’s’

“You don’t have to be an expert baker; we do all that for you. We produce the products to my recipes that I’ve honed over the years, we deliver them to you weekly, and all you have to do is have a passion for food, and go out there, meet new people and sell the products.”

Ambassadors would be trained in selling to local cafés and delicatessens, and could contact Spencer for advice on setting up stalls at events.

Lord Alan Sugar said: “You could be earning up to £1,200 a week in gross margin. Your success will be purely down to your dedication.

‘A no brainer’

“Alana has done all of the setup work, so joining the Ridiculous Rich family is actually a no brainer.”

Applications to become an ambassador close on April 10.

Meanwhile, Spencer launched the Ridiculously Rich by Alana brand in January. The launch coincided with the business’ busiest month to that point.

The business was previously known as Narna’s Cakes – founded in 2010 by then 17-year-old Spencer. It was rebranded following Spencer’s BBC’s The Apprentice win on December 18, which resulted in a £250,000 investment from business tycoon Lord Sugar.
